Staff Management

Add team members, set individual schedules, assign jobs, and manage the worker portal.

How Staff Works

BookingSystem has two types of team accounts:

Staff Members

Created by you from the dashboard. Staff members appear in scheduling and can be assigned to bookings.

  • Set individual schedules
  • Assign to services
  • Appear in availability calendar
  • Managed entirely by you

Worker Accounts

Workers can register themselves and get their own portal to manage assigned jobs.

  • Self-registration portal
  • Own dashboard with assigned jobs
  • Can upload photos of completed work
  • View their schedule and reviews

Adding Staff Members

  1. Go to Staff in the sidebar
  2. Click Add Staff Member
  3. Enter their details:
    • Name -- displayed to customers during booking
    • Email -- for notifications
    • Phone -- contact number
    • Role -- their job title or role description
  4. Save the staff member

Staff members are visible to customers when booking. Only add people who directly provide services.

Setting Staff Schedules

Each staff member can have their own availability schedule, separate from the business-wide hours.

  1. Go to Staff and click on a team member
  2. Click Manage Schedule
  3. Set their working days and hours for each day
  4. Add exceptions for days off, vacations, etc.

When a customer books and selects a staff member, they will only see available times based on that person's schedule.

If no individual schedule is set, the staff member inherits the business-wide hours from Settings > Booking.

Assigning Jobs to Staff

When a booking comes in, you can assign it to a specific staff member.

  1. Open the booking from Bookings or Calendar
  2. Click Assign Staff
  3. Select the team member (only available staff for that time slot are shown)
  4. The staff member is notified and the job appears on their schedule

The Worker Portal

Workers access their own portal at booking.homora.fi/worker/login. Here is what they can do:

Dashboard

See today's jobs, upcoming schedule, and recent activity at a glance.

Calendar

Visual view of their assigned jobs and schedule.

Jobs

Full list of assigned jobs with details. Update job status (started, in progress, completed).

Photo Upload

Upload before and after photos for each job. Great for service verification and customer records.

Reviews

See customer feedback and ratings for their completed jobs.

Worker registration

Workers can self-register at booking.homora.fi/worker/register. After registration, they need to be linked to your business by an admin.

Best Practices

Keep schedules updated

When a staff member takes time off, update their schedule immediately to prevent bookings during that time.

Use the worker portal for accountability

Encourage workers to use photo uploads and status updates. It creates a clear record and improves customer trust.

Review worker performance

Check the reviews section regularly. Customer feedback tied to specific workers helps you identify top performers and areas for improvement.

Assign jobs promptly

The sooner you assign a job, the sooner the worker can prepare. Aim to assign within a few hours of a booking being confirmed.
