Getting Started
A complete guide for business managers. Go from sign-up to accepting your first booking.
What you will set up
Create Your Account
Head to the registration page and enter your details:
- Your name -- the account owner name
- Business name -- this becomes your booking page URL (e.g., booking.homora.fi/book/your-business)
- Email -- used for login and receiving booking notifications
- Password -- at least 8 characters
After registering, you will be automatically logged in and taken to your dashboard.
Explore Your Dashboard
The dashboard is your command center. Here is what each section does:
Add Your Services
Go to Services in the sidebar. This is where you define what customers can book.
Creating a service
- Click Add Service
- Enter the service name and description
- Choose a pricing type:
- Fixed price -- a set price (e.g., 50 EUR)
- Price range -- min/max range (e.g., 80-120 EUR)
- Per unit -- price per hour, per sqm, etc.
- Quote required -- customer requests a quote first
- Set the duration (how long the service takes)
- Optionally assign it to a category
Organizing with categories
Use Categories to group related services. For example, a cleaning company might have categories like "Residential", "Commercial", and "Special Services". Categories and subcategories help customers find what they need quickly.
Configure Your Availability
Go to Settings > Booking to set when customers can book:
- Business hours -- set your working days and hours
- Booking lead time -- minimum advance notice required
- Buffer time -- time between bookings
- Maximum advance booking -- how far ahead customers can book
Individual staff members can have their own schedules (see Staff Management).
Customize Your Branding
Go to Settings > Branding to make the booking page match your brand:
- Business name & description
- Primary color -- used for buttons and accents on your booking page
- Logo -- displayed on the booking page header
These settings affect both your standalone booking page and the embedded widget.
Add the Booking Widget to Your Website
Go to Settings > Widget to find your embed code. You have three options:
Popup Button (Recommended)
Adds a floating "Book Now" button to your site. When clicked, it opens the booking form as an overlay. Least intrusive and works on any page.
Inline Embed
Renders the booking form directly inside a container on your page. Great for dedicated booking pages.
iFrame
Simple iframe embed. Paste it wherever you want the form to appear. Works with any website builder.
For detailed code examples, see the Embed Widget guide.
Start Accepting Bookings
Once your services and widget are set up, customers can start booking. Here is what happens:
- Customer visits your booking page or clicks your widget
- They select a service, pick a date/time, and fill in their details
- You receive a notification (email + dashboard)
- You confirm, reschedule, or manage the booking from your dashboard
- Customer receives email updates on their booking status
